ISLAMABAD:  In a new development of events, the investigation authorities have now started investigating the official who had filmed the argument between the two lady passengers and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad.

The filming official can be charged with breach of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) since phones are not allowed in the immigration area.

FIA sources are reported to have said that the official will be questioned about why he had filmed the assault episode, adding that in doing so he has is in violation of the set SOPs and ‘breached privacy-related issues’.

Additionally, an interim report has been submitted to the Supreme Court (SC) the other day regarding FIA’s investigation of the official who filmed the scuffle. The three-member bench of the SC headed by the chief justice has also asked for a detailed departmental inquiry into the case.

The chief justice regretted the sad incident and asked the authorities to make sure that such incidents do not occur in the future. The hearing has been adjourned for three weeks.
