Chinese parliamentary delegation to arrive on April 5

ISLAMABAD: A high-level Chinese parliamentary delegation of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee will arrive on Wednesday (tomorrow) on a 2-day official visit to Pakistan.

The objective of the visit is to further boost mutual cooperation and strengthen parliamentary linkages between the two countries, said a press release issued here.

This is the highest level delegation to visit Pakistan during the current year from China as CPPCC National Committee Chairman Yu Zhengsheng stands at No 4 in the political ranking among the Chinese political leadership.

The delegation will exchange views with the Pakistani leadership on matters pertaining to further enhancing bilateral cooperation besides, discussing regional and global issues having significance for both Pakistan and China.

The invitation of this visit was extended by Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani.

Pakistan places its bilateral relations with China at high esteem, and high-level interactions and exchanges are a regular feature of close bilateral relations.
