Lahore Corps Commander Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali was chief guest on the 5th convocation of the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Lahore Medical College here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Pakistan Army besides performing its role as the defender of national borders has always been at the forefront in contributions for national development.
He said that the role of the army medical corps during natural calamities and military operations has been laudable. The corps commander also emphasised that physical, mental, and social health forms the basis of a strong nation and the provision of appropriate health services to the common man must be a national priority.
Ali said that the nation has to collectively put in efforts to help the country’s youth apply their knowledge and creativity to achieve optimum effects for national growth. He commended the role of the CMH Lahore Medical College in providing quality health education.
Later, he awarded degrees and medals to the graduating students.
