Former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain was shifted to intensive care unit (ICU) of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre after his health deteriorated.
He was shifted to the ICU for the second time after suffering from severe chest pain.
A few days ago, Dr Asim was shifted from the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre to the NICVD in Karachi.
He was under treatment in a ward at the Cardiovascular department of the JPMC after his health deteriorated last week.
Zardari also held a meeting with Asim, who is also President PPP Karachi Division.
PPP’s prominent lawyer Farooq H Naik and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah were also present at the meeting.
