Interior Ministry has extended stay of army in Islamabad for 90 days and a notification has been issued in the matter.
The extension came in under Article-245 of the Constitution of Pakistan.
At least 350 army personnel are deployed at sensitive installments in the capital.
It should also be mentioned here that a targeted operation is underway in Karachi where the federation has deployed Pakistan Rangers since 2013 to curb crime incidence and extensions are granted every three months.
