The Sindh government has constituted a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to interrogate Lyari gangwar leader Uzair Jan Baloch.
A notification in this regard was issued on Tuesday which says the Sindh chief minister had granted approval to the formation of a JIT to investigate Uzair Baloch on court orders. It further said that a police officer of SSP rank will head the JIT.
Earlier, a spokesman of the Sindh Rangers had announced arrest of Uzair Baloch, saying that the gangwar leader was nabbed as he tried to enter Karachi.
Later, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) had handed over Baloch to Sindh Rangers on a 90-day physical remand.
