An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of police died when a bus knocked down a motorcycle on Tuesday. The bus driver managed to escape from the scene.
Police said that an over-speeding bus carrying factory workers knocked down a motorcycle in Awami Colony near Singer Chourangi resulting into death of ASI of Muhafiz Force, identified as Munawar, on the spot. The bus driver managed to escape from the scene. The body was shifted to a hospital for postmortem. Police took the vehicle into custody. After registering a case against the fleeing driver, it started raids for his arrest.
