In order to ease the current petrol crisis, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) announced on Saturday to resume gas supply to CNG filling stations in Lahore for a day, private media reported.
Federal Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi issued the orders following a telephone talk with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, leading to SNGPL announcing to resume CNG supply to the provincial capital.
CNG filling stations are expected to resume their services any time today. Gas supply would be suspended as soon as the petrol shortage ends, according to a representative of SNGPL. He added that CNG stations in other parts of Punjab and Potohar region would remain closed.
