Coast guards seize 21 kg of opium

Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) seized 21 kilograms of opium from Naka Khari check post near Winder in Balochistan on Tuesday.

PCG officials received information from intelligence sources about the smuggling of narcotics through RCD Highway after which different buses were stopped for checking at Naka Khari post near Winder.

During early morning checking of a bus, PCG officials recovered approximately 21 kilogrammes of opium from a couple, which was hidden under their clothes. Both the passengers were taken under custody along with the opium. The bus was en-route from Kharan to Karachi.

Further investigation and legal process was underway by the PCG special investigation team.
