US Ambassador Cameron Munter paid his farewell call on President Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday. Munter thanked the president and the Government of Pakistan for supporting him in performing his diplomatic duties as ambassador.
The President appreciated Munter’s diplomatic skills and his role in establishing a Pak-US strategic dialogue, and in helping strengthening and stabilising Pak-US relations at a very critical time. Munter thanked Zardari for his appreciation and said that Pak-US relations ran hot and cold but managed to normalise it every time. He hoped that Pak-US relations will flourish in days ahead He wished the outgoing ambassador luck in his future endeavors.
