Sweden’s Ambassador to Pakistan Lars Hjalmar Wide called on Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa at the Governor’s House on Tuesday to discuss various matters of mutual interest. On this occasion the governor said Pakistan had long friendly relations with Sweden, and that Pakistan wished to build broad-based, substantive and result-oriented relations with Sweden. Khosa invited the Swedish and other international business communities to invest in Pakistan, as the government was providing a secure environment to investors.

At present, there are attractive investment opportunities in areas like energy, infrastructure, communications and agriculture. He stated that it was not an era of expansionism, but an era of knowledge, where education had become the most important factor in the development and progress of any nation. The Swedish ambassador assured the governor that his country extend its full cooperation and support in all sectors, especially in education and public transport.
