The traders of Urdu Bazar and Ganpat Road have voiced their support for the Founders-PIAF Alliance in the LCCI elections 2011-12. The announcement was made during the visit of Alliance Associate Class candidates Aftab Ahmad Vohra, Khamis Saeed Butt, Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, Nasir Saeed, Mohammad Amjad Chaudhry, Zeeshan Khalil and Waqar Ahmad Mian. The Alliance leaders including Iftikhar Ali Malik, Co-Chairman Mohammad Ali Mian, LCCI Senior Vice President Sh Mohammad Arshad and PIAF Chairman Sohail Lashari spoke on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Alliance leaders Iftikhar Ali Malik and Mohammad Ali Mian said that the Alliance would continue to serve the business community in larger interest of the economy and would urge government to formulate business friendly policies. They said that the entire business community understands well that the Alliance had always tried its best to resolve the problems of the businessmen by taking them up with the concerned ministries and departments. They said that in the future, liaison between the business community and policy makers would be further strengthened to ensure result-oriented policies.
The Alliance leaders said that both the public and private sectors belong to the same camp, so they must make joint efforts in consultation with each other for the economic well-being of the country, instead of working separately. They also pledged to continue to raise their voice for the solution of problems being faced by the business community. They said that the Founders-PIAF Alliance has introduced sector specialists as their candidates for the LCCI Executive Committee with the sole objective to forward solid proposals to the government for economic progress and prosperity. They said that the names of the Alliance candidates would be soon announced as they are being finalised in consultation with market representatives.
They said that despite unprecedented crises at national level, all efforts were made to restore the confidence of the business community. They hoped the business community would revive its confidence in Founders-PIAF Alliance for larger interests of the country’s economy. They said that the participation of a large number of market representatives in the function was sufficient to prove that the business community wanted continuity in policies introduced by the Founders-PIAF Alliance.
