Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House late on Tuesday. According to a statement issued by President’s spokesman Farhatullah Babar, President Zardari welcomed Ebad on resuming his duties as Sindh governor and expressed hope that it will boost reconciliation efforts, promote harmony and auger well for political stability and peace in the province.
Babar quoted the president as saying that the province and the country had too many and too serious challenges that could be overcome only by all political forces joining hands. The president also praised MQM chief Altaf Hussain for asking Ebad to resume his duties. Governor Ebad thanked President Zardari for the trust reposed in him. Meanwhile, according to a private TV channel, Zardari said all of MQM’s grievances would be redressed.
