Pakistan successfully test-fired air-to-air Hatf-VIII cruise missile, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.

According to ISPR, the missile can strike a target at a distance of 350 kilometers.

The missile has been developed exclusively for launch from aerial platforms, the statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations said.

Cruise technology is extremely complex and has been developed by only a few countries in the world, it said.

Pakistani president and prime minister congratulated the scientists and engineers for the successful test.
