Man shot dead resisting robbery

MURIDKE – Dacoits killed a newly married person and seriously injured his cousin when they were going to the Lahore airport on Thursday morning on Muridke-Narowal Road.
Reportedly, Basharat Ali, 30, of Qila Kalarwala came back to Pakistan from abroad after seven years for marriage a month ago. On the day of the incident, he was going to the Lahore airport with his brother Ashiq Hussain and cousins, Atta Muhammad and Khalid Latif, when five dacoits ordered them to stop.

RAWALPINDI – The Rawalpindi District Court on Saturday framed charges against Law Minister Babar Awan in an incident involving the abduction of a newspaper’s owner and robbery in 1998. KASUR – Four robbers killed a labourer during a dacoity bid in village Nandka Takiya in the precincts of Sheikham Police Station. Reportedly, Mumtaz Ahmad and other workers were returning from a textile mill after discharging their duty. Mugger kills student on resisting robbery

LAHORE – A mugger killed a man on showing resistance at an attempted robbery in the precincts of the Ghalib market police station on Sunday, while Mujahid Squad Police caught the killer.
The deceased, 22-years-old Muhammad Adnan, was a student of Intermediate, originally from Mardan, living in Lahore for studies. According to police, an armed man held Adnan on gun point at the backside of the Home economics collage in Gulberg and tried to robe him.

ISLAMABAD – In a brazen broad daylight robbery in the capital, three armed bandits on Thursday held up an accountant of a local advertising agency and fled with Rs 5.3 million. GUJRANWALA – A 25-year-old girl was gunned down for resisting a robbery to save her dowry late last night in village Fatehpur of Gakhar Police Station.
