PESHAWAR – At least three militants were gunned down in a clash with police at Hayatabad Industrial Estate in the wee hours of Monday. The encounter also left a police officer dead and a constable injured. The incident occurred when dozens of militants attacked a police post at Hayatabad Industrial estate before the dawn. They killed an assistant sub inspector (ASI), Sajid Khan and injured one police constable.

PESHAWAR – Three militants and a policeman were killed in a pre-dawn gunfight in Peshawar on Monday, police said.
The clashes took place in the wealthy suburb of Hayatabad when a group of five militants attacked a police patrol with small machine guns and Kalashnikovs, police said.
“Three militants were killed during the exchange of fire. We also lost one of our policemen,” said Shafiullah Khan, a senior police officer.
