BAKU – Azerbaijan police detained more than 30 activists of the opposition Musavat Party when its members took to the street of Baku on Saturday to protest against the ruling elite following a similar rally a day before.

ISLAMABAD – The opposition parties – the PML-N, PML-Q, JUI-F and JI – on Friday strongly condemned the PPP’s strike call in Sindh against the Supreme Court’s verdict against the Justice (r) Deedar Hussain Shah’s appointment as the NAB chairman.

TEHRAN – Hundreds of Iranians marched toward a Tehran square on Monday in a banned rally supporting popular uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia, but their way was blocked by police and security forces, witnesses said.
