LAHORE – Model Town thrashed Afshan FC 7-1 to enter the semi-finals of the All Punjab Raiders Football Cup 2011. Construction of 22 model villages starts on 15th

RCS blood camp in Model Town

Lahore – The Punjab chapter of the Red Crescent Society (RCS) Pakistan organized a blood donation camp at Al-Minhaj University Model Town on Wednesday. The university students donated 63 blood bags for the thalassemia children at the Red Crescent centre. The camp was organized by Minhaj Welfare Foundation Director Iftikhar Shah Bukhari and Deputy Director Mian Tahir Yaqub. LAHORE – Model Town Club marched into the final of the 26th M Yaseen Akhter Memorial Cricket Tournament after defeated a strong Crown Club side by 6 wickets in the first semi-final, played at Model Town Ground on Monday.

LAHORE – Model Town won the 2nd Javed Memorial Cricket Tournament, beating Mughalpura Whites by 41 runs here on Thursday. Batting first, Model Town were bowled out for 218. Rashid Riaz (87), Ashraf Ali (31), Nasir Jamsheed (30), and Jameel Khan (29) top scored for Model Town. Faheem Askari, Yasir Ali and Hassan Nasir took two wickets each for Mughalpura, while Imtiaz Shah and Afaq Shahid shared one apiece.

Massive irregularities have been detected in the allocation of five quarters and their extension to the adjacent park in Model Town J Block, Pakistan Today has learnt.
