LAHORE – Lahore and Okara have reached the final of the PBCC National Blind Cricket T20 Cup, which will be played today at the New Campus Cricket Ground, Punjab University. On Thursday, the semifinal games were played in which Lahore beat Gujranwala while Okara moved past Sheikhupura.

2 killed and 27 hurt in Lahore shrine bombing

LAHORE – At least two people were killed and 27 were injured when a low-intensity explosion near the main gate of the shrine of Baba Haider Saien near the Lahore Lorry Adda late on Thursday. The annual festivities were at their peak at the shrine when a device, believed to be a low-intensity explosive, went off at around 11pm.

Judge directs CCPO Lahore to arrange refresher courses for SHOs

LAHORE – Additional District and Session Judge Sana Khan Attique on Wednesday directed Punjab Police inspector general to arrange for the refresher courses for the station house officers (SHO), teaching them how to deal with the public complaints, after Township Police Station SHO repeatedly failed to address to a complaint despite multiple court orders.
The court directed Lahore CCPO to take action against Township Police Station SHO and get the petitioner’s grievance redressed.

LAHORE – As many as two matches of the PBCC National Blind Cricket T20 Cup were played Tuesday at cricket ground of Punjab University. Lahore won by nine wickets and Okara by 10 wickets.

Senators oppose leniency in Lahore incident

ISLAMABAD – Legislators in the Upper House of parliament on Friday demanded authorities take notice of the Lahore incident involving the death of three young men by US citizens, without showing any leniency.

Police confirm Lahore blast was suicidal

LAHORE – Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Aslam Tareen confirmed that the blast in a mourning procession near its concluding point at the Karbla Gamay Shah was suicidal in nature.
