Khakwanis thwart Shamyl challenge to win PSS Asia Cup final

LAHORE: Saqib Khakwani and Zain Khakwani of Monnoo Polo combined well to thwart a spirited challenge from Shah Shamyl Alam in the final of the PSS Asia Cup here at the Lahore Polo Club on Sunday.
Monnoo Polo with the help of Khakwani duo smacked 10 goals and thwarted Shamyl’s spate of attacks successfully containing Silk Bank to seven goals.
In the subsidiary final, Security 2000 were too smart for Goodwill Sweets beating them by nine goals to three and-a-half.

LAHORE: Monnoo Polo was the first team to qualify for the final of the PSS Asia Polo Cup to be played on Sunday at the Lahore Polo Club’s Aibak ground. The organisers hosted six matches Thursday so that list of finalists of the tournament could be determined. Security 2000 won their match on the day and qualified to play the subsidiary final against Goodwill Sweets.
