LAHORE – An accountability court on Friday handed over former Haj director Rao Shakeel Ahmad to NAB on physical remand until April 1. Rao is involved in piling up illegal assets and was arrested on March 17 in Lahore on charges of maintaining various bank accounts, through which he made heavy transactions. ISLAMABAD – Dr Arshad Ovais Qazi, a director in Education Department, was stabbed to death by unknown assassins on Tuesday. According to police, Arshad was killed inside his house located in G-8 Sector.
His wife, who is a teacher in FG College Rawalpindi, and children, were not present at the time of the gory incident, SI Flak Sher of the Margalla Police Station said, adding that Arshad’s children found their father in a pool of blood after returning from school.
