LAHORE – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday gave last chance to a Canadian couple, Roshni Desai and Jahanzeb Niazi, to reach out-of-court settlement on the custody of their illegitimate child and travelling expenses to Canada. Alleged target killer remanded in judicial custody

KARACHI – Ajmal Pahari, the suspect allegedly involved in 100 murders and targeted killings, was sent into judicial custody on Tuesday.

ATC remands alleged kidnappers to police custody

KARACHI – Anti-Terrorism Courts (ATC) administrative judge on Tuesday remanded two men accused of kidnapping for ransom and murder to police custody for a week. Justice Maqbool Baqir remanded the accused men, Badal and Yar Muhammad, to Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) for a week to conduct further investigation.

Bank fraud accused remanded in custody

LAHORE – An accountability court on Wednesday extended the judicial remand of Muhammad Ajmal Minhas and Muhammad Ibrahim, both accused in a bank fraud case, until March 8. Muhammad Ajmal was a senior officer in Habib Bank, Wasan Pura branch. He is accused of embezzling Rs 2.7 million with the connivance of Muhammad Ibrahim. Accused killed in police custody

WAZIRABAD – In the court of Section 30 Magistrate Ijaz Ahmad Gondal, an accused, Sabir Bashir Proya of Kot Proya Wazirabad, was killed in the custody of policemen. The accused was brought from Gujranwala jail to Wazirabad city courts. All of a sudden, Ali Asghar, a resident of Sadiq Park Gujranwala, fired on Sabir Bashir, killing him instantly.
