KHARTOUM – Sudanese security services on Thursday arrested prominent government critic Mariam al-Mahdi, daughter of the premier whom President Omar al-Bashir ousted in a 1989 coup, as a crackdown on the opposition gathered pace. SC orders crackdown on fraud housing schemes

LAHORE – A full bench of the Supreme Court on Thursday directed the Punjab Housing secretary to crackdown on bogus housing societies which were looting people, as there was no mechanism to monitor such schemes.
