Pakistan Post chief leads drive to modernise postal network

ISLAMABAD: Director General Pakistan Post SQN LDR (retd) Maqsood Ahmed is leading efforts to modernise and transform the country’s postal network, according to a statement issued by Pakistan Post.
The statement said Ahmed, a senior BS-21 officer of the Government of Pakistan, has been advancing the organisation through policy measures, institutional reforms and efforts aimed at organisational growth. It said his work is focused on improving service delivery, raising operational efficiency and strengthening connectivity across the country.
According to Pakistan Post, Ahmed is also working on international partnerships and overseeing complex postal and governmental operations. The organisation said his leadership is helping reinforce Pakistan Post’s role as a public service institution amid changes in the digital and economic environment.
The statement added that Ahmed has represented Pakistan at international forums, including the Universal Postal Union and the Asia Pacific Postal Union.
