'My enemy was in my own home': Ex-fighter pilot blames wife, son for alleged assault
Veteran alleges son assaulted him, but internet questions his version of events

A video shared by retired Air Force Squadron Leader and former fighter pilot Imran Anwar has sparked intense debate online after he alleged that he was assaulted by his own son and blamed his wife for what he described as years of poor upbringing.
In the video, Anwar appears with visible injuries to his eye and nose as he recounts the incident, which he says took place a week earlier.
“Mera naam Imran Anwar hai aur main fighter pilot tha. Mujhay ye nahi pata tha k meray apnay ghar main mera dushman maujood hai aur aisa dushman jiski tarbeath meri biwi nay ki hai,” he says in the clip.
Throughout the video, Anwar places responsibility for his son’s actions squarely on his wife, arguing that she was responsible for his upbringing. He also states that he has the right to seek a divorce if he wishes.
However, it was this aspect of his account that quickly became the focus of online discussion.
Rather than accepting his version of events at face value, many social media users questioned why responsibility for parenting was being assigned entirely to the mother.
One user wrote, “Uncle ap bhi thori tarbeeyat day detay apka kaam bhi tha not just the mother’s and sorry to say you do seem to a nice man he definitely learned all this from you!”
The comment reflected a recurring theme across reactions: that raising a child is the responsibility of both parents, not just one.
Another user echoed a similar sentiment, writing, “Uss ki tarbiyat sirf uss ki waalida ne nhi waalid ne bhi kerni thi... agar uss bacha ke samny uss ki maa ke sath na-insaafi ki ho g tau woh react kery ga... we don't know the complete story here so we cant take any side.”
Rather than defending the alleged assault, the user argued that the public had only heard one side of a deeply personal family dispute and lacked important context.
Others questioned what may have led to the breakdown in family relations.
“Mazraat k sth uncle apky profession ka b aap pay koi asar nhi hwa. If you divorce a mother infront of their children wo b after so many years jinho ny apky ghr ko ghr banaya hoga, tou aap kia expect krty hain? Betay ki maar Apny bata di aap yeh b batayen what led him to that drastic action towards his father?” one user wrote.
The comment highlighted a broader sentiment visible across social media: many people felt the video focused heavily on the alleged attack itself while offering little insight into the events that may have preceded it.
Another user attempted a more measured response, writing, “With due respect, serving the country is commendable, but character and upbringing matter too. From what is being shown on social media, it appears there may be gaps in guidance and maturity.”
While reactions varied, a common thread emerged across much of the discussion. Users were less focused on Anwar’s military background and more interested in the family dynamics behind the incident.
The result is a conversation that has expanded beyond a single allegation of violence and into a wider debate about parental responsibility, family conflict, and the dangers of drawing conclusions from only one side of a deeply personal dispute.
