Man kills wife, our children before taking own life in Quetta

QUETTA: A man allegedly shot dead his wife and four children before killing himself in Quetta on Monday, police said.

According to Burori SHO Naseebullah, the incident took place in the morning. Preliminary findings indicated that the suspect opened fire inside his home, killing his wife and four children at the scene.

Police said the victims included two daughters and two sons, all of whom suffered serious gunshot wounds. After the shooting, the assailant allegedly turned the weapon on himself and died.

A heavy police contingent reached the site after receiving information about the incident, cordoned off the area and began collecting evidence. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for post-mortem examinations. A Quetta Police spokesperson said the initial investigation had not established the reason behind the incident, and officials had not confirmed whether a domestic dispute or any other factor was involved. Police said all aspects of the case were being examined.
