Late-night party lands hotel owner in hot water
ICT police have registered a case against a hotel owner and an event organiser over an alleged late-night party in Islamabad's F-6 Markaz. The case was lodged under Section 188 of the PPC after a complaint by a First Class Magistrate.

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory police have registered a case against a hotel owner and an event organiser over allegations that a private late-night party was held in violation of restrictions imposed by the district administration in the federal capital.
An official said the case was lodged at Kohsar Police Station on the complaint of a First Class Magistrate of ICT Islamabad. Authorities found that a private event was continuing late at night at a hotel in F-6 Markaz despite administrative restrictions, the official said.
According to the FIR, hotel owner Shujaatul Fazal and event organiser Faisal were named in the case for allegedly allowing the gathering to continue beyond the prescribed time limits. The official said the two were booked under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code for allegedly disobeying an order promulgated by a public servant.
Police said the matter surfaced during enforcement of administrative orders intended to maintain public order and regulate activities during restricted hours. The official added that further investigation was in progress and legal action would be taken in accordance with the law.
