The Islamabad Traffic Police (I unveiled a detailed traffic management plan for the upcoming One-Day and Tri-Nation Cricket Series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. To ensure smooth traffic flow and assist commuters, over 300 officers will be stationed at key locations across the city.
The plan is designed to manage team movements while minimizing disruption for the public. In case of road closures, alternate routes have been provided. If Faisal Avenue is closed, motorists can use Srinagar Highway, Club Road via Faizabad, or Park Road via Lehtrar Road. For closures on 9th Avenue, travelers should take routes via Sabzi Mandi Mor–Police Lines Chowk or from Rawalpindi through Golra Mor–Peshawar Mor–Srinagar Highway.
Travelers coming from Margalla Road towards Khanna can use Blue Area–Club Road–Lehtrar Road as an alternative. ITP officers will also be present on service roads to guide drivers and maintain order.
Authorities have warned that traffic on the Expressway and Srinagar Highway may experience delays, particularly during peak hours, as team movements take place. Commuters are advised to factor in extra travel time and remain patient during the matches.
The ITP has assured the public that all measures are being taken to minimize inconvenience and ensure safe travel throughout the event.
