FBR starts inquiry against cosmetics company on allegation of tax evasion 

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has opened an inquiry against Cosmetic company on allegations of tax evasion. 

According to the documents availble with Pakistan Today, the Directorate General I&I Islamabad has written a letter to directors of I&I-IR Lahore as well as Peshawar with regard to the biggest tax evasion scam by Forvil Cosmetics. 

A Complaint has been filed against Forvil Cosmetics and FBR database revealed that M/s Forvil Cosmetics are being operated in areas falling under the jurisdictions of RTO Islamabad as well as Peshawar and CTO Lahore. The Islamabad office has directed the regional officers of Lahore and Peshawar to furnish details by October 12, 2022.

Meanwhile, the directorate I&I-IR Peshawar has requested additional Commissioner IR RTO Peshawar to provide details of last five years income as well as sales tax audits, assessment and recovery position so as to enable this directorate for further proceedings on this matter.
