Tareen may join PML-N

LAHORE: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) secretary general Jahangir Tareen is likely to join the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party, it was learnt on Friday.

He is expected to announce his decision within a week as the lawmakers of his posse, who voted in favour of Hamza Shehbaz during the election of Punjab chief minister, are also in the talks with the PML-N.

Salman Naeem, a member of the Punjab Assembly from Multan, is also likely to join the party.

However, Ghazanfar Rehan, an aide to Tareen, said there was no truth to the news.
