IGP Balochistan gives final touches to foolproof security plan fo Youm-e-Ali

QUETTA: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Inspector General Police Balochistan, Mohsin Hassan Butt regarding security and other arrangements of Yum-e- Ali.

DIG Headquarters Jawad Dogar, DIG CTD Jawad Qamar, DIG Quetta Syed Fida Hassan Shah, AIG Operations Rizwan Omar Gondal, AIG IT Abdul Hayee Baloch, SSP Operations Abdul Haq Umrani, SSP Traffic Sher Ali Hazara, SP Legal Hameed Dasti and other officers were also present in the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, the IG Police said that the police, administration, FC and other law enforcement agencies would be on duty for the security of Yum-e- Ali procession.

At the level of police stations, instructions were given to improve the system of checking and security on the external and internal routes of the city.

He said that in view of past incidents, besides tightening security, other important steps would also be taken.

The procession of Yum-e- Ali will be closely monitored through CCTV cameras installed through the control room and practical steps will also be taken. Additional police personnel will be deployed to deal with any untoward incident.

All arrangements have been made by Balochistan Police in this regard. Roads and streets adjacent to the routes will be sealed to make the procession routes safer. Instructions have also been issued to the traffic police regarding diversions and free flow of traffic.
