Sania Mirza joins Shoaib Malik as she enters Pakistan’s bio-secure bubble

Indian tennis star and wife of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has entered the national team’s bio-secure bubble on Wednesday.

The six-time Grand Slam winner, 34, completed her quarantine period along with her son Izhaan in Dubai and joined her husband ahead of Pakistan kicking off their T20 World Cup journey on October 24, with their first clash against India.

According to the protocols issued by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had permitted families of the players to stay in the bio-secure bubble with them.

Apart from Malik, families of Imad Wasim, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Muhammad Hafeez and Hasan Ali are also accompanying them.

Moreover, coach Saqlain Mushtaq’s family is also with him in the bio-secure bubble.

Pakistan will face arch-rivals India in their first match in the T20 World Cup on October 24, in Dubai.
