NCOC daily update: 2,333 new cases, 58 deaths from Covid-19

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported 2,357 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, the National Command and Operation Centre said on Thursday.

The overall tally of the infected people climbed to 1,232,595 across the country, the department leading campaign against the pandemic said.

Sindh has been the worst hit, with a total of 453,051 cases, followed by Punjab where the virus was detected in 425,703 people.

A total of 27,432 people died of Covid-19 in Pakistan, including 58 patients who lost their lives to the pandemic over the last 24 hours, the NCOC said.

The nation currently has 61,558 active cases, while 1,143,605 others have recovered.

The vaccination drive has also picked up the pace, with 25,493,964 people fully inoculated in the country, according to the latest official data.
