Senate elections: PML-N’s Azam Tarar, PTI’s barrister Ali Zafar win unopposed

Nomination papers of 15 candidates for 11 seats from Punjab have been accepted so far

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Azam Nazir Tarar and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Barrister Ali Zafar have won the technocrat seats unopposed in the Senate.
It may be recalled that nomination papers of 15 candidates for 11 seats from Punjab have been accepted so far for the Senate elections.
Among them, nomination papers of five candidates of PML-N, eight candidates of PTI, one candidate of PPP and one candidate of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) have been accepted.
