PSL 6 will be held without spectators due to coronavirus: PCB official

LAHORE: The sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be held without spectators due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it was learnt on Friday.

Talking about this year’s season, National High-Performance Centre (NHPC) Director Nadeem Khan said, “According to plan, there will be no involvement of the public in this year’s PSL, however, we are monitoring the situation as the time is progressing.”

He said that the PSL 6 will be played on time and the foreign players have confirmed their availability for the season.

“If the Covid-19 situation improves, we will look to hold matches in a minimum crowd,” Nadeem was quoted as saying by a news website.

Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) CEO Wasim Khan said in an interview last month that the league’s draft will be held in the first week of January and the tournament will commence from February 20.
