Former KP chief minister tests positive for coronavirus

PESHAWAR: Former chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (then North West Frontier Province), Senator Syed Muhammad Sabir Shah, has contracted coronavirus, he confirmed on Tuesday.

Shah, in a message to media, said his test for coronavirus returned positive a day ago and he has since quarantined himself at his native village in Haripur.

He urged the people to take the second wave of the disease seriously and adopt precautionary measures to remain safe.

Pakistan on Tuesday reported 2,050 infections of the novel coronavirus after conducting 29,378 tests — a positivity ratio of 7.06 per cent.
