ISLAMABAD: In a trademark speech in the National Assembly on Monday, the Leader of the Opposition Shehbaz Sharif once again reminded everyone of the infrastructural contributions of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in developing much of what is in the news today.
Talking about the ‘kafir kafir’ slogans that are echoing in Karachi, Shehbaz said that it must not be forgotten that it is the PML-N that helped construct the roads that have led to where the country is today.
“It is disappointing to see those chants, but I don’t think it would be inappropriate to say that the sectarian infrastructure, and the road leading to the rallies that we see today, were built and developed, alhamdulillah, under Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s leadership by the PML-N,” Shehbaz Sharif said amidst rapturous applause from the PML-N members in the assembly.
Shehbaz further underlined that no matter where anyone looks in Pakistan, regardless of any development and event, everything will somehow be connected to the PML-N.
“Even this selected hybrid government has become such a recurring reality thanks to the contribution of the PML-N. These contributions go so far back to a time when we weren’t even called the PML-N.”
The PML-N president further reaffirmed that such realities underscore that the incumbent Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) government will have to pack their bags and make way for the PML-N.
“Let’s give those rightfully responsible for what is happening in Pakistan, their rightful right back to continue ensuring that Pakistan remains what it is.”
