Covid-19 misinformation

As there is a buzz of Covid-19 in half of the world, a second crucial battle must be simultaneously fought to end another menacing phenomenon is misinformation. At a time, where fear and panic of virus are on the rise, there, mobile phone and social media users are being constantly bombarded with misinformation; and a great many people, sharing unverified claims on social media, are aggrandizing the issue.

However, being responsible citizens of Pakistan, the former must address their fears and queries by using legitimate source of information; and the most reliable source of information is WHO (World Health Organization).

So, in this crisis, it is the responsibility of every citizen to exercise caution and more discerning about the information they pass to people, and if one is not sure about its veracity or source, it is not worth sharing.
