Private Schools Association rebels against lockdown in Sindh

The Sindh Private Schools Association (PSA) on Wednesday, ignoring the provincial government’s lockdown order announced of opening their offices from April 2 onwards and also said that they would not allow students to pay fees in installments.

According to details, the association has argued that school management is struggling to pay salaries to the staff and also claimed that 16,000 school employees have not been paid their due salaries because of the lockdown.

The PSA chairman said that employees have been paid their allocated salaries for the month of March but would not be paid further due to insufficient funds.

It may be mentioned here that the Sindh government on March 30 had directed private schools across the province to pay full salaries to teachers whereas they were also directed to issue monthly fee challans instead of the usual bi-monthly or quarterly fee challans.
