ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Tuesday clarified that all coronavirus testing kits have been verified by the Chinese government.
In a tweet, the authority informed that all the kits were coming from China via the Pakistani embassy and are tested scientifically.
“These kits are certified by the Chinese government so there is no compliance with the unverified kits,” it added.
The tweet came following a statement by Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry, who had warned the provincial governments and the NDMA of unverified testing kits.
In a tweet, the minister said that “many lives will be put in danger if an affected patient is declared healthy by a faulty kit”, urging the NDMA to get them verified by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP).
