ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Ijaz Ahmed Shah has revealed that 10 people of the same family have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Nankana Sahib.
In his video message here on Monday, Ijaz Shah said that the coronavirus affected people had recently travelled to Saudi Arabia and in view of the situation, all residents of the area have been quarantined for 14 days.
The minister said that the district administration has delivered food items to them at their houses whereas every possible measure is being taken for the safety of people of the area.
“Three field hospitals having a capacity of 160 beds have been established in Nankana Sahib while 17 quarantine centres have also been established to adjust an extra 1,600 people,” he added.
He appealed the nation to stay at home and cooperate with the government for their safety and expressed hope that the pandemic would soon be controlled in the country.
