KARACHI: Pakistan Meteorological Department has said that the Shaban moon is expected to be sighted on Mar 25.
According to the Met Office, partly cloudy/fair weather is expected in most parts of the country on the day.
Previously, the Ministry of Science and Technology had developed a moon sighting app, Ruet.
The Met Office has also predicted heavy rains in Karachi, saying that a strong westerly wave has entered Balochistan from Iran.
Earlier, the Met Office had predicted normal rainfall in Punjab, saying that widespread rain is expected during the 1st, 3rd and 4th week of March with chances of hailstorms and gusty winds at isolated in plain areas of Punjab.
