NADRA gives LDA access of its database

LAHORE: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has given access to its database to Lahore Development Authority (LDA) whereas the authority’s counter has also been established on one window cell in LDA, Pakistan Today learnt on Wednesday.

The counter was inaugurated by LDA Director General (DG) Sameer Ahmed Saeed.

According to the details, all buyers and sellers of plots would use the biometric system for their verification from now on and all the applications regarding purchase or selling of properties would route through this system while the one window cell will ease up the people for their property matters.

It was also learnt that through the biometric system the verification of any applicant for any property sale or purchase will be quickly completed and NADRA database will be accessible for this function whereas LDA would have access to the family tree and members of the family details of any applicant.

Through the same system, the marital status will also be verified and in case of a deceased person, the information will be obtained through NADRA database.

The spokesperson of LDA Suhail Janjua informed this scribe that with this new system it will be easier for LDA to get hold of illegal occupied properties/plots and other unidentified properties whereas this system would give relief to the public and facilitate them in an efficient manner.

He also informed that in Kasur, Sheikhupura and Nankana the LDA facilitation desks at NADRA offices have also been set up and the residents of these areas would be able to file their applications for LDA in the NADRA offices.
