GHAIRATMAND KHANDAAN – Depicting her usual calm self that she has exhibited over decades of familial crises, completely self-assured dadi amma remained as unwilling as ever to find any fault in her upbringing of her offspring, despite the latest predicament to have hit the ghairatmand family.
The newest crisis, which has taken place in the shape of the younger pota leaving the family at the call of his wife, seems to have done little to shake her decades-old resolve to uphold her family’s values and traditions, as the indomitable dadi amma looks at her own reflection through the mirror app on her smartphone.
“The times might change, the technologies might change, but the family customs and values will not change till I am alive,” the dadi amma told herself, The Dependent’s subconscious correspondent from the khandaan desk reported.
“And these values are as infallible as I am, and as those before myself were. What is completely fallible is that bloody joru ka ghulam who has soiled khandan ki izzat,” dadi amma added.
The development comes after dadi amma convened a khandani meeting over the latest development at their khandani home in Sandringham, where the khandan’s bahu-betiyan were informed what is and isn’t allowed, with the baap-betay told how they can play their part in upholding the family values.
“No jorus or their ghulams will ever win here,” dadi amma told herself before going to sleep on Thursday.
