Global Champions League Dubai: AIM’s national pitch competition to be held in Lahore

 

LAHORE: To participate in the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) 2020 Global Champions League in Dubai, the national pitch competition will be organised at the Chief Minister’s Office on January 22 in partnership with the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) and NSPIRE-Netsol’s Business and Tech Incubator, Pakistan Today has learnt.

The champion of the competition will be hosted to join the AIM 2020 Global Champions League in Dubai.

According to the details, the AIM is the World’s leading investment platform in the Middle East and North Africa which is going to hold its 10th edition on March 24-26, 2020 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event will discuss the future of sustainable investment under AIM Pillars – foreign direct investment, startups, small and medium enterprises, foreign portfolio investment, future cities and its special event One Belt, One Road.

However, under the theme ‘Investing for the Future: Shaping the Global Investment Strategies’, the AIM will gather high-ranking government officials, decision-makers, corporate leaders, policymakers, businessmen, regional and international investors, entrepreneurs, leading academics and investment experts to address the global challenges of securing viable investment aimed at contributing to economic growth whereas the exhibitors can also get the chance to network with the World’s leading angel investors, private equity investors and fund managers.

The AIM is an initiative of the UAE Ministry of Economy and is under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

PBIT’s Director Marketing and Public Relations Fatima Ali Khan, speaking to this scribe, said: “For the first time in the history of Pakistan, PBIT has planted the vision of Technoconomical Punjab. The provincial investment promoting agency (IPA) is holding a national competition first of its kind to promote start-ups and entrepreneurship in Punjab.”

The winner would compete with 80 other countries in Dubai, she said.
