Resolution submitted in SA against Indian army chief’s statement

KARACHI: PTI Parliamentary Leader Haleem Adil Sheikh and other PTI MPAs submitted a resolution in Sindh Assembly showing deep concern and anguish over the baseless and irresponsible statement of Indian army chief against Pakistan.

The resolution demanded that this House expresses its deep concern and anguish over the baseless and irresponsible statement of Indian army chief against Pakistan and considers it a bid of India to divert the attention of the world from inhuman conditions and atrocities in the occupied Kashmir, as well as, the growing tension in India over the failed policies of Modi government, particularly their highly controversial law related to citizenship matters.

According to the resolution, this House, showing complete and unwavering solidarity with our brave armed forces, reiterates that India would be given a befitting reply in case of any misadventure. This House also reiterates its complete solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir and again demands of the United Nations to give them their right of the plebiscite.

This House expresses a deep concern over bids of some irresponsible circles to malign our sacred security institutions under a thin-veiled cover of a court verdict. Our Armed Forces should not be dragged into such matters and their honour and dignity and their unmatched sacrifices for the nation and country should be kept in mind.

This House once again reassures that the whole nation stands shoulder by shoulder with their brave armed forces and any bid to malign our national institutions, or affecting the level of their moral would be foiled, said the resolution.
