KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday sought a reply from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Haleem Adil Shaikh on a petition filed by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) seeking his disqualification.
The court was moved by PPP leader Lala Abdul Raheem for the disqualification of Haleem Adil Shaikh. The bench issued notices to respondents and sought a reply in this regard.
The petitioner submitted that Shaikh had hidden income details in the Election Commission record, as he did not mention the expenditure of the daughters in the elections. The expenses of both the daughters are being paid by the American Bank, it was stated in the petition.
The applicant also furnished the details of the New Jersey Bank Account Number and said that there was no mention of Nawabshah Poultry Complex in the details of Haleem Adil. The petition requested that Haleem Adil Shaikh be notified on the hidden sources of income and assets and be disqualified for concealing the assets.
