LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usmab Buzdar pledges on Wednesday to make the medium of instruction in his ongoing primary education in the Urdu language.
“People in the urban areas think that there are two mediums of instruction in the country,” he said while speaking to reporters in reasonably good Urdu. “But actually, it is not just English and Urdu, but also the regional languages as well.”
“I would like for the third tier to be abolished and for there to be education only in Urdu at primary level, including my own ongoing primary education,” he said, during the break period at his primary school.
“I am weak at math but very good at Urdu, as Miss Munazza, who is also my class teacher, can testify,” he said, speaking passionately, gesturing towards her. “I am good at Waahid/Jama. I can do it all day long. Check me.”
“He’s Student of the Week, our precious boy is,” chimed in Information Minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan.
