Well-established nephew prepares parchi for jobless uncle

LAHORE – A well-established nephew in the national cricket team has prepared a parchi for his jobless uncle to find appointment through the Pakistan Cricket Board, a copy of the parchi available exclusively with The Dependent has revealed.

The parchi signed by Pakistan’s well-established opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq has urged the Pakistan Cricket Board officials to employ Inzamam-ul-Haq in some capacity.

“The applicant is my uncle and has a cricket background as well. Please do the needful,” reads the parchi addressed to the PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani.

Inzamam-ul-Haq is the former captain of Pakistan and a former chief selector as well who recently resigned from his position. It appears as though he is relying on his famous nephew to use his power to find him a job.

However, talking to The Dependent, Imam-ul-Haq rubbished all claims of signing a parchi.

“When he was first picked up as the chief selector, I wasn’t the one who got him hired. I wasn’t even in the team in 2016,” he said.

“Many people raised questions about his selection but when his name came up in selection I kept quiet and let others decide about him. So when you say that his selection is because of me, that’s inappropriate, because the chief selector is not selected by me alone,” Imam added.
