Pakistan Awami Tehrerk leader KhurramNh Nawaz Gandapur congratulated Chinese fighter Chun-Li for her victory over Brazilian fighter Carlos Blanka in the ongoing international fighting competition.
“Ms Li has displayed true grit,” he said, speaking to The Dependent. “Her victory is well-deserved.”
He also went on to add that the tournament should be more vigilant about the unfair advantage that players like Blanka – who can electrocute rivals – have.
“That Ms Li still won is a testament to her fighting abilities,” he said. Gandapur clarified, however, that he did not support the overall nature of the competition.
“I don’t know the details but it is clearly illegal,” he said. “I would, however, like to invite the organiser M Bison to join the PAT if he promises not to respect the Pakistani parliament like he had done with the British parliament.”
In the end, he extended an invitation to Chun-Li to visit Pakistan. “It would be an honour for me to show Ms Li around the country. We could have dinners here and there at good local restaurants. Perhaps, if she needs a new phone, I could gift her one.”
